Happy New Year

Happy New Year from the Plantes.  I hope that everyone has a safe and prosperous 2009.  Things are going pretty well for us here.  The girls are really starting to get big and are keeping Leigh and myself on our toes. 

Things are getting pretty cold up here, although we did have a nice break during Christmas weekend with temperatures generally in the mid-40s, on Sunday it reached 65°!  Hard to beleve that the weekend before, we had almost 20 inches of snow…  It started snowing on Friday, December 19, at about 3PM and did not stop snowing until Sunday night around 9PM.  Then on Monday, the high temperature was 22° and windy, so 65° was a blessing on Christmas Weekend.

imageProvidence, RI - Just as the mess from our last storm has just about melted away, we are now being hit with another storm.  As of right now (10:18AM on December 31, 2008) Southern New England is under a Winter Storm Warning.  They are predicting 6-10” of snow for the area.

Burrillville, RI - Basketballs were flying and kids were going up and down the court on Saturday, December 13, when the Burrillville Youth Basketball Association held the first game of the 2008-2009 season at Burrillville High School.  Ashleigh and Jessica playing for the grey team in the bitty-division.
